WED, Jan 21st -- UC Davis professor Moon Chen’s research on the under-representation of minorities in clinical trials appears in the American Society in Clinical Oncology (ASCO)’s annual cancer progress report released Tuesday.

When it comes to cancer disparities, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) supports a number of researchers who have a keen understanding of the science and culture of cancer as it relates to minority communities. Dr. Moon Chen is the lead principal investigator of the Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness Research and Training (AANCART Exit Disclaimer), NCI’s designated National Center for Reducing Asian American Cancer Health Disparities. Dr. Chen is also the Associate Director for Cancer Control and professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center in Sacramento, CA.

WED, May 5th, 2014 -- "The Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness and Training (AANCART) is now offering culturally sensitive cancer education brochures and videos for the Asian public in a variety of Asian languages. AANCART's educational efforts are part of the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's ongoing work to reduce cancer health disparities through community-based participatory education, training, and research.
